Paul and Lauri Benk, new owners of the Centerboard Inn, came to us soon after purchasing. They wanted to give the inn an update with new décor and a fresh new look. Armed with inspiration and a penchant for the contemporary, Paul and Lauri made quick work of completely redoing the entire interior of the inn – new paint, décor, furnishings with a fun new vibe. Thus, 4 members of our team decided to go to Nantucket Island and stay at the Centerboard Inn to see for ourselves how much the new owners had changed the inn. And….we were pleasantly surprised! Paul took us all over the island to see the various activities, restaurants and shopping all unique to Nantucket! But…truly….my favorite part was falling into that bed at the end of the day! Paul and Lauri spared no expenses in updating all the amenities of the inn – mattresses, bedding, soaps, etc. Thus, after a wonderful couple of days, our team came home and got to work on transforming their online presence to match the amazing new Centerboard Inn!
Our first order of business was to develop the new logos! Paul and Lauri not only wanted a logo for the inn (which you will see on the site in the upper left hand corner of each page) but an icon that would be unique to the inn. The icon is a “C” with the actual centerboard of a sailboat running through. You will see this not only on the site but in their charming coffee mugs featured in the site’s extensive photography. After the logo and icon were approved by the owners, they got to work on securing a photographer. Elizabeth Campbell spent several days photographing all the rooms, bathrooms and fun Nantucket activities that lend to the whimsical and relaxed nature of the site. Once those were complete, our team began creating a modern, clean and visually stunning bed and breakfast website design that accurately represents the true vision Paul and Lauri have for their inn. We created the website in Word Press along with a matching mobile website which they can update themselves at any point. You’ll also note the inclusion of exceptional Nantucket photography by well-known Nantucket photographer, Becky Zandoga. Enjoy! We know you’ll want to get on a ferry and get over there as soon as you’ve seen the new site!
So, Paul….when is the next inn coming?
