At the PAII Conference in Charleston at the beginning of 2014, our company did a panel presentation in which all members of our team along with some very savvy innkeepers reviewed, critiqued and consulted on the overall marketing presence of various audience members’ properties. Afterwards, we had the pleasure of meeting many innkeepers who attended the presentation. One of the standouts was an innkeeper by the name of Runi Goyal who owned several properties in Key West, Florida. She loved the presentation and wanted to hire us to create the right site to accurately reflect the fun culture of her thriving inns. Runi wasn’t looking for a huge uptick in occupancy as she currently sits at over 80% occupancy year-round, but a well-rounded marketing approach that would vividly communicate what she and her staff were all about – a fun, Key West experience for the right type of guest. Her project was a large one – we were tasked with the development of a landing page, a new site for Old Town Manor, her bed and breakfast, the Rose Lane Villas, her vacation rentals, and Old Town Manor Weddings, her successful wedding empire. Each site needed to fit together seamlessly but sell the unique aspect of each entity. While this project did take many months, the end result of a lot of hard work has been exactly what Runi was looking for!
Our first objective was to coordinate with the client’s graphic artist to develop a key landing page to encompass the overall business which is Destination Old Town. This page features their location right in the heart of Duval Street in Key West! A guest then has several options to explore: the ability to book directly or the choice to go to either the vacation rentals – Rose Lane Villas; the bed and breakfast – Old Town Manor; or to plan a wedding at Old Town Manor Weddings. Some of the foundational components of the site include a strong SEO base, a chic vibe consistent across all sites, a live chat feature to talk immediately to the innkeepers, and a custom WordPress responsive design so that each design looks beautiful and unique on any screen size! Guests will also love the ability to filter on the rooms page according to bath type, bed type, amenities, location, etc. You’ll also find such gems as an interactive maps, live event calendars, and a robust pet friendly page. The personality not only of the owners but of every staff member clearly shines through on these sites. Selling the experience isn’t always about just showcasing luxurious rooms but about inviting the guest to an experience of joy and relaxation. Personally, I think our corroborative effort did just that! The results show a significant decrease in bounce rate by 23%!Back to Portfolio
