Case Study for Casal St. Virginia - Azenhas Do Mar, Portugal

I must admit that when Elena Crowe of Lisbon, Portugal contacted me regarding design services, I didn’t know that our English-speaking only web design company in the US would be the best fit! However, as an International Financial Consultant who is fluent in 5 languages, Elena proved us all wrong. After extensive research, Elena was convinced we were the company to create the image for Casal St. Virginia. As you will see, the Inn is perched on a cliff overlooking stunning vistas of the Atlantic Ocean in the quaint town of Azenhas Do Mar. Elena knew that our design work would accurately represent this amazing property she and her husband, Edwin, had recently taken over.

Working with Elena has been delightful and simple despite little phone contact, language differences and international issues. We have corresponded largely through email. Her timeliness and thoroughness has helped see this project to fruition. Our challenges, however, were many. The previous site was all in German and was used mainly to provide information for the repeat, German clientele of the Inn. Elena’s vision was much grander and she knew that establishing the site in English would be the first step toward her goal of having Casal St. Virginia attract tourists from all over the world. Her English is impeccable; thus, we were able to clearly articulate the marketing message of Casal St. Virginia – a relaxing, home atmosphere with the amenities of a European Boutique Hotel.

Now, we will concentrate our efforts in attracting international clientele through extensive marketing efforts. Furthermore, we will be designing the site in several languages to accommodate her visitors from all over the world. And, as for Elena, she will be able to greet those visitors on the terrace of Casal St. Virginia, offer a glass of wine, and converse in whatever language they happen to speak!
