Thunderbird Inn - Savannah, GA
“Everyone that works for you seems very nice and helpful. I like that!”
- David Gardner
We were delighted to hear from David Gardner, Owner of the New Thunderbird Inn of Savannah, Georgia - particularly because our White Stone Team LOVES a challenge! David and his partner bought the Thunderbird Inn with an extraordinary vision in mind: to turn an old 1964 Vintage roadside motel into a hip, comfortable hotel in the heart of Savannah! Unfortunately, several roadblocks stood in the way. Travelers in the Savannah area and even other business owners still view the Thunderbird Inn as the old motel it had been for the last 40 years. Thus, with the reputation of the Old Thunderbird Motel solidly in the minds of many Georgians, the challenge for us was to present the new image with bold authority and completely abandon the old reputation! By calling the White Stone crew, David knew he needed the talents, skills and marketing expertise of an experienced team!
“The site is looking great! I really like the way this is turning out.”
With only a few photographs available to us, (The Thunderbird is still undergoing renovation) we chose a funky layout, bold colors and a hip new look to convey the new reality of The Thunderbird. This former roadside motel is now complete with all new rooms, modern conveniences, wireless access, a beautiful breakfast area, and top-notch customer service. In order to convey the primary marketing message that the New Thunderbird specializes in guest relations, our White Stone team chose the retro graphic of a bellhop to graphically represent this #1 priority. We also decided to turn their activities page into an online concierge service – a service which will be displayed and available as the default page of every computer in each of their 42 rooms!
Of course, it might take some time for folks to realize that this old roadside motel is now back in action and better than ever! But, the new Savannah Thunderbird Inn is making a splash and will prove a tough competitor in the downtown Savannah lodging scene! We wish David and his fabulous staff all the best.
