Case Study for Woolverton Inn - Stockton, New Jersey

Carolyn McGavin and Bob Haas, owners of the stunning Woolverton
Inn, contacted us knowing that they wanted White Stone Marketing
to take the Woolverton to the next level. Jumping Rocks Photography
had just completed a several day photo shoot of the inn and added
hundreds of photos to the many they had taken of the Woolverton
over the years. You see...Mark and Matthew of Jumping Rocks were
the previous owners along with Carolyn McGavin. Thus, they too,
had a very personal interest in seeing the Woolverton Inn portrayed
in a way they had only dreamed about! After several conversations
with them, I realized their vision for the Woolverton Inn had never
been realized, and that they wanted White Stone to step up to the
task. The Woolverton, an elegant Inn with bucolic charm, is a destination
in and of itself. Thus, to portray this stunning property as accurately
as possible, we needed to convey its simple elegance in a country
atmosphere complete with sheep! From the classy sheep logo to
the home page flash montage, the look and feel of the true Woolverton
begun to take shape.
The true creative beauty was in the formation of the intricately
detailed room pages. As a collaborative effort, we all decided to
use actual fabric, paint chips, and wallpaper from each room to
express the individuality of the unique suites. In so doing, the
rooms' pages take on an almost 3-dimensional character, a characteristic
not easily achieved with just the use of text and photos. In keeping
with our mission to show The Woolverton as a destination in and
of itself, we provided links to the many packages and on-property
activities from each of the individual rooms suites. This tactic
allows for potential guests to see all the various items available
to them without having to go specifically to the packages page.
Another unique approach was creating a consistent "sheep icon" that
identified both press quotes and guest quotes to add to the credibility
of the inn and attest to the many happy guests!
Working with Carolyn has been a delight. She typifies today's truly
professional innkeeper who understands the value of putting both
time and money into her most important marketing piece, her website.
The site not only reflects the true beauty of the Inn but the professionalism
of those who work its day-to-day operations. To that end, we have
created a website which is the realization of their dreams an
accurate and visually stunning representation of the Woolverton
Inn.
